Dear Parents/ Guardian:
We are pleased to announce that Queens Collegiate in partnership with Queens Community House will be offering a free comprehensive afterschool program for 6th, 7th and 8th graders for the 2012-2013 school year. Queens Community House (QCH) will provide daily enrichment afterschool activities for students enrolled in Queens Collegiate’s 6th, 7th and 8th grades. The program has limited slots and will enroll on a first come first serve basis.
QCH will engage students in fun activities to assist with the development of leadership and critical thinking skills by providing quality academic, creative and recreational activities beyond the school day in order to enhance the learning experience of our students while creating a fun and safe environment.
Queens Community House is a multiservice agency that has provided youth development programming to schools in District #28 for more than 20 years. They have been providing services at Jamaica Campus for the past seven years. QCH has been successful in providing a supportive environment that promotes student achievement and parent involvement by keeping in close communication with parents and informing them of their child’s progress.
I urge you to come to QC on Oct 2 or 3 from 8:30-9:30AM or 2:30-5:30PM in room C3 .
REGISTRATION & INFORMATION DAYS: Enrollment into the program is based on first come, first serve and accurate completion of the forms.
October 2nd and 3rd Times: 8:30AM-9:30AM and 2:30PM-5:30PM in Room C3
The After School Program will begin October 9, 2012-June 14, 2013
Days of Operation: Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday 3:00PM-5:15PM & Wednesday 1:45PM-5:15PM
**A Holiday Camp will be offered & Summer Camp based on attendance and participation requirements.
