UPDATE:  To be eligible to play, you will need the PSAL parent permission form signed, and the doctor needs to sign the medical form. See the links above for the forms. If you don’t have the forms completed, go to practice and tell the coach of your interest so they know. Then get the forms filled out as quickly as possible, so you can start to practice.

    Hi,
My name is Sarah and I’m an incoming freshman to QC. I am very interested in joining the girl’s Volleyball team. In late June, I called in and said I was interested in joining. Above, it says Volleyball starts Monday; what does this mean to me? Do I show up to QC that day and if so what materials am I suppose to bring along with me?

    • Hi Sarah,
I’m so glad to hear that you want to play volleyball! That’s great! You should plan to show up on Monday, if at all possible. You should wear appropriate workout clothing (shorts and a Tshirt, socks and shoes– no jean shorts). Some of the girls use knee pads and other protective equipment, but you can always get that later, if you find you need it.

Heyy; I would like to join the Girls Volley ball team. However, I will not being in New York, will there be another try out?

    Kadeen.

    • Hi Kadeen,
Please plan to come to practice as soon as you get back. It’s important that you speak with the coach and attend daily as soon as you do get back, as PSAL has regulations about how many times an athlete must practice prior to playing in a game. Enjoy your vacation!

im confused, does the volleyball team start on monday or is it just tryouts for the team?

    • Hi Mary,
Teams must practice so many times before the first game, according to PSAL rules. The volleyball team is starting practice to ensure they meet the criteria to play in the first game. It’s tryouts/practice, but don’t let the ‘tryout’ part deter you.
