The Richness Within

Queens Collegiate students have been paired with the students of Het College Vos in Vlaardingen, The Netherlands for a project to look at immigration, tolerance and integration in our communities.  We have the pleasure of hosting 8 Dutch students in QC student homes September 6-10, 2009 and hosting 2 teachers plus their principal.

This is an outgrowth of the NY400 project, to celebrate the 400 years of American-Dutch history.

As you can imagine, we are quite excited about this online collaboration turning into face-to-face meetings and collaboration! If your child is interested in hosting a Dutch student in your home for 4 nights, please email me at QueensCollegiate@gmail.com and let me know.

Thanks!

UPDATED:  I am adding the links Ms. Wells used during her lesson on food and bicycling in the Netherlands.
